Contemporary Flintlock Jaeger Rifle with Carved and Fluted Stock
John B. Derrick (American, b.1936)
.40 caliber. 32" octagonal to round barrel. SN: NSN. Bare metal finish. Walnut stock has carved rococo scroll, incised lines, and neoclassical motifs to straight grip and forearm, as well as heavy fluting and a cheek rest to buttstock. Flintlock rifle with notch rear sight, brass blade front sight, and a cast brass diopter tang sight. Item features double set triggers, sling mounts, and patchbox to bottom edge. Stock has heavy brass triggerguard, buttplate, and stock fittings wax-cast from brass and displaying neoclassical style details. Includes leather sling, brass tipped ramrod, and is without flint.

Condition Report
Very good. Bore is bright. Finish is strong overall. Wood stock shows few light scratches overall. Action is functional.
