** Eddystone U.S. Model 1917 Rifle
World War I, World War II
.30-06. 26" barrel length. SN: 846325. Parkerized metal finish overall set in a walnut semi-pistol grip stock with full length upper handguard. Bolt action cock-on close repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine. Rifle mounts an adjustable rear aperture and dovetailed front blade with protectors. Receiver is marked with the manufacture marking U.S./MODEL OF 1917/EDDYSTONE followed by the serial number. The barrel marking reads HS/{Ordnance Bomb}, and exhibits P proof mark to the wrist and to the forward barrel. Wrist is additionally marked with an {Eagle's Head} inspection mark, 2Y marking, and AAP arsenal marking to the left of the receiver.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is dirty with some residues throughout that should clean to Very Bright with sharp rifling. Metal finish shows some cycling wear to the internals, mottle brown patina forming on bolt handle, brown flecking to the magazine floorplate and triggerguard, and further patches of brown patina to the muzzle. Some pitting to the upper edge of the buttplate. Upper handguard is splitting at the rear edge with scattered light dents overall.
