[GAMING]. A large grouping of gambling and game pieces, comprising:
QUINN, John Philip. Gambling and Gambling Devices. Being a complete systematic educational exposition designed to instruct the youth of the world to avoid all forms of gambling. Canton (OH): J.P. Quinn Co., 1912. 8vo, green cloth with gilt designs, 306pp, plus 2p ads. Numerous illustrations within text. (sunning of spine and edges of boards, bumped corners, scuffing.)
Wood box, approx. 4-1/2 x 9 in. containing casino/poker chips, 48 white and 24 each with red edge and blue edge. Bone, 1-1/4 in. diam. (catch broken on box)
Spring-loaded device with 2 dice faces. 2-1/2 x 4-3/8 in. Pushing the lever on the side "rolls" the dice.
Set of four chips, one each white, yellow, red, blue, with American flag decals on both sides. Plastic, 1-1/2 in. diam.
Set of 53 "card dominoes," small tiles, 7/8 x 1-1/2 in. Each marked with number and suit (eg. K (spade) K; 8 (heart) 8.) In original box that is heavily taped along edges.
15 dominoes, 5/8 x 1-1/4 in. standard dots on one side, letters of the alphabet on the other. Present are A, B, C, F, G, J, K, N, P, Q, R, S, U, W and X (6/6, 6/5, 6/4, 6/1, 6/0, 5/3, 5/2, 4/4, 4/2, 4/1, 4/0, 3/3, 3/1, 2/2, 1/1)
Deck of cards with coins and amounts rather than suits. $ (One dollar coin), 2¢, 3¢, 4¢, 5¢ (with nickel), 6¢, 7¢, 9¢, 10¢ (with dime), 25¢ (with quarter), 50¢, (with coin), 75¢(with quarter and 50¢ coin). Suits are green, yellow, red and black. In original box with instructions (appear to be unused)
