Lot Description
Valentino Couture Evening Dress with Fur Trimmed Wrap From Ebony Fashion Fair, 1980s 
 
This dress with wrap was purchased by Eunice Walker Johnson of Johnson Publishing Company and worn in the Ebony Fashion Fair. 

Cream silk crepe dress with a see-through embroidered net back panel, draped front panel with a deep v-neckline, long sleeves, and a straight skirt gathered into the waistline. The sheer back panel of net is embroidered with a paisley design in rhinestones, glass beads, and cut panels of fabric. The dress closes at the center front with a series of snaps, hooks and eyes, and zipper. The dress comes with a long self-fabric stole trimmed with matching fox fur.

Condition: 

Dress
The overall condition is good structurally with discoloration and snags around front waistline and snap closure. The net at the back near the arm has small tears and previous repairs. The hem is soiled from wear.  

Wrap
The overall condition is very good structurally with faint brown and make up spots at center back and the fur trim tacking is coming loose on one end.
