Benefit of Mr. A.J. Leavitt The Champion Banjo Soloist of America. 
Philadelphia: U.S. Job Print, 1860. Visible 8 x 22 5/16 in. (occasional spotting, heavy creasing to upper and lower portions, wear to edges and corners). Framed to 24 x 9 5/8 in. (not examined out of frame). Signed in type by proprietor Frank Rivers and stage manager L.H. Everitt. Illustration to upper portion of broadside features a caricature of an African American man's face with a banjo and a fiddle crossed beneath and a banner reading "Frank Rivers' Melodeon" above. 

Broadside promotes the 11 October 1860 benefit including a performance of the "Beautiful Irish Musical Romance, entitled Kate Kearny or, the Fairy of the Lakes!" Also announced are two prizes to be given, including a chased silver goblet to the author of the "Best Original Conundrum," and a tin goblet for the worst.
