Framed: 40 x 35 x 3 3/4 inches.
Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is laid to masonite with all edges trimmed; pigment separation within the yellow of the curtains in the upper and center left; one small spot of inpainting visible in raking light along center right edge; two small spots of residue on surface in center of woman's hat. Under UV light: certain pinks and whites in the woman's face and proper right hand fluoresce, but it is unclear if this is inpainting; strokes of inpainting along the edges and center of the woman's hat; two areas of inpainting in the lower area of the woman's hair; possible inpainting in the hat frill to the right of the woman's face; inpainting within paint separation in the curtain.
