Leroy Robert "Satchel" Paige (1906-1982) is regarded as one of the greatest pitchers in the history of the Negro Leagues. He enjoyed the benefit of integration when he debuted with the Cleveland Indians in 1948, becoming the oldest man ever to debut in the MLB.
