A Chinese flambé​ glaze porcelain baluster vase with gilt bronze base, 18th / 19th century
The bronze base consisting of three separate stackable rings for fitting.

H: 21 3/4 in. Dia: 8 1/2 in. (vase only, overall), H: 2 1/2 in. (gilt bronze base)

Provenance:
A Newport, Rhode Island collection.
Condition Report
with some nice cracquelure / crackling to glaze commensurate with age; the rim possibly ground down and with some loss to height; the base edge with overall roughness and old chipping, possibly a sign that it may have been ground down for a former mounting display; the body with some light scratches, including some vertical abrasions with slight haziness; the gilt bronze rings with some minor occasional green spots of oxidation to interior and underside
