Hindman is pleased to announce that Joan Wager joins the firm as Vice President for its Midwest region. Ms. Wagner has exceptional experience leading business development teams, particularly in the finance industry. She has also served on the boards of important cultural institutions such as The Art Institute of Chicago; the Chicago Wellesley Club and Wellesley Friends of the Art; and The Woman’s Athletic Club.
Ms. Wagner entered the finance industry in Chicago at BMO Harris Bank and then JP Morgan Chase, where she spent 14 years and rose to Vice President of Private Banking and Investments. Starting in 2002 she directed the Law Firm Group at Citi Private Bank where she aligned banking and investment business development initiatives with major law firms across Chicago and the Central Midwest Region. Ms. Wagner then became the Managing Director and Market Manager of Private Wealth at The Private Bank (now CIBC). Here she worked with clients nationwide and internal partners to maintain and grow investment, fiduciary, capital market and retirement plan assets through tailored programs and solutions. Most recently, Ms. Wagner joined Chapman and Cutler LLP as Director of Business Operations where she facilitated attorney and client service operations in addition to strategic partnerships.
As VP of the Midwest Region at Hindman, Ms. Wagner will lead the business development teams in Chicago, St. Louis and Milwaukee who work with executors, fiduciaries and beneficiaries for appraisals and disposition services in addition to serving a broad network of private clients in need of asset and collection management.
The Chicago headquarters of Hindman conducts over 40 auctions annually and appraisals thousands of objects throughout the year in addition to handling major single-owner collections. The firm is currently accepting consignments for summer, fall and winter sales.
