Lot Description

Agnes Hat, 1930s

Flat, circular black silk velvet hat trimmed with large fabric flowers in red and green velvet pieces. Each piece of the flower is individually shaped and hand-stitched to the cap. The cap is secured to the head with an inner band and sits at a rakish angle.

Condition:
Overall good condition. Wear consistent with age. Along the edge of the black velvet are areas of thread loss from wear. A few of the stitches are loose around the inner bank.
