Lot Description

Dennis Basso Dress and Jacket, 2016

Strapless dress of black sheer fabric woven with diagonal stripes of dark blue satin that morphs stylized fauna pattern at the hem, revealing a semi-transparent hem. There is a heavily boned inner bodice and a dark blue taffeta lining that extends into a petticoat. The very full skirt is pulled into deep pleats around the waist, with extra deep pleats at the center back. The dress closes down the center back with a zip and hook and eyes. into a floral design around the wide, sweeping hem. The very full skirt is lined with black polyester and has a long train. A series of hook and eyes and zips close down the center back. A matching, long sleeve shrug jacket attaches to the top of the strapless dress with hook and eyes.

Condition Report

Condition:

The overall condition is very good condition though there are soil marks under each arm from wear, plus some minor pulling of the blue satin on the inside of the pleats at the center back and on the front left of the bodice. The shrug is in very good condition with no visible problems.

Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. All other condition issues are stated above.
