A wartime letter discussing missing tobacco: "Enclosed I send you a list of 42 Hkd? of Tobacco, sold to the Mill Gratz only 35 of which are to be found in the warehouses, the other seven the inspectors say are missing...the warehouses have not been properly searched. ...I am in Cash for this Tobacco & have placed it to your Credit, ...now in the Warehouses at Hanover Town York River."
