Christian Dior by Marc Bohan Haute Couture Ensemble, Spring-Summer 1964
Worn by Dame Olivia de Havilland

Ensemble consists of blouse, skirt, scarf, jacket and hat. Jacket, skirt and hat are made of a blue boucle. The main seams of the ensemble are sewn by machine while the inside, finishing stitches are done by hand. The jacket has a notched lapel, long sleeves, flapped pockets over each hip and a center front single button closure. The a-line skirt has box pleats at the front and closes with a zip and hook and eye at center back. The silk bodice and scarf are printed with a blue, red and white design. The hat is made of natural straw with a fitted cap and shaped brim and trimmed with a band of the same printed silk on the scarf and blouse.

Condition Report
Condition:
Overall very good condition. The exterior of the jacket is in very good condition with the black silk lining showing signs of wear through discoloration in the underarm and holes worn into the fold of the hem. The exterior of the skirt is in very good condition with many splits in the underlining. The blouse is in overall good/stable condition with discoloration under each arm and minor pulls in the material near the waistline in the front and back. The sheer white fabric used to underline the blouse is in poor condition with holes and repairs under each arm and threadbare patches around the waistline. The hat is in very good condition with a discolored spot on the right/front brim.
