Lot Description
Christian Dior by Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture Dress and Shoes, Spring-Summer 1958 
Worn by Dame Olivia de Havilland

Sleeveless a-line dress of embroidered flowers in an antique white, layered with embroidered pink flowers with petals that curl. The dress has no visible seams or darts, with all shaping created through the pieceing together of the embroidred fabric. A majority of this dress was sewn by hand. The exterior of the dress is lined with two layers of silk tulle over an inner dress, which closes down the center back with a zip. The embroidered exterior closes down the center back with a series of small snaps.  The matching shoes are made of a pale pink/cream satin and finished with a self-fabric rose over each toe.

Condition Report
Condition:
The dress is in excellent condition with one loose snap at the bottom of the center back closure. The shoes are worn but in good condition with wrinkles across the vamp and a small hole on the left back heel.
