Three Geoffrey Beene Knit Dresses, Fall 1971

A version of the first dress is featured in the illustration by Jeff Sayre available in Lot 27. 

The First: A brown wool knit day dress with trompl'oeil each colored trump l'oeil collar and necktie. 
Archive note on this dress states, 'original was very short'.

The Second: A light gray wool jersey day dress with navy polka dots, stylized neckline, cuffed short sleeves, full gathered skirt, side front zipper closure with snaps, and center front button closures.

Condition Report

Condition:

The First: Overall condition is good with  two holes in knit on right front collar. One hole on collar on left neckline. One small hole on collar at center back closure.

The Second: Overall condition is good with two small brown spots on right back hip. Small hole on left sleeve underarm.

The Third: Overall condition is excellent with no visible issues.

The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use.
