Lot Description
Victorian, Diamond, Ruby and Enamel Snake Motif Locket Pendant
consisting of a snake and swallow motif containing numerous rose cut diamonds and three round cabochon cut rubies against a blue enamel ground, the reverse having two glazed compartments.

The locket pendant measures approximately 2 1/2 inches by 1 3/16 inches including bail. The surface electronic tests for 18 karat gold and the applied snake and swallow motif electronic test for silver.
There are visible scratches to the surface on the back. There is a small loss of enamel to the bail. Some discoloration and scratches, consistent with age and wear.
