A Napoleon III Boulle Marquetry Semainier

Late 19th Century

Height 49 x width 25 1/4 x depth 13 1/2 inches.

Condition Report

Fine and attractive condition. Age cracks in both sides. Several small areas of repaired inlay or lifting/lost inlay. Faint greenish oxidation on some of the bronze mounts. Note that it is not a semainier as originally cataloged, but a secretaire a abattant. The leather writing surface has been replaced. Lock and fall-front work properly. With key. Marble top with faint scratches and minor discoloration but no other damage. Additional photos available.
