Framed: 42 3/4 x 35 3/4 inches.
Canvas was unevenly applied to board support and has multiple areas of surface inconsistencies and distortion; diagonal repaired tear with visible inpainting extending from upper center edge to above subject's head; multiple losses along extreme edges under frame lip; approximately 1/2 x 4 inch area of paint loss accompanied by flaking paint in upper left edge; several scattered pinpoint paint losses; black abrasions in lower jacket of figure. Under UV light, inpainting visible in large area around visible tear in upper center; an approximately 1 x 1 inch area in center left; around the subject's proper left hand; in the center of the subject's coat and lower hem; and possibly in the dog's face.
