An Empire Style Gilt Metal Mounted Mahogany Bed

Late 19th Century

Height 42 x width 74 x depth 45 1/2 inches.

Condition Report

Dimensions of interior for mattress: 72 x 41 inches.

Old scuffs, marks and scratching throughout consistent with age and use. Only one side with decoration. Sun fading to one end. Areas of patched, replaced and reattached veneer. One end with filled age splits, the other end with open age cracks. One column loose from body. Currently disassembled. Comes with headboard, footboard and both side rails, plus later wood slats to support mattress. Additional images available upon request.
