Condition Report

Overall sturdy, usable, attractive condition. Sofas date to the 19th century but have been professionally re-gilded in the latter part of the 20th century. There are scattered small chips and losses to the gilt surface with exposed gesso, minor touch-ups and other normal wear. One sofa is missing a larger section of its carved decoration from the front of one arm support, part not retained. The upholstery is clean and intact; cushions are filled with down, probably around a foam core.
