A Miscellaneous Group of Eight Boxes
19TH/20TH CENTURY
comprising silver plate, horn, leather and metal clad examples.
Largest, height 3 3/4 x length 13 3/4 x depth 4 1/2 inches.
This lot is located in Palm Beach.
Property from a Jupiter Island Estate, Hobe Sound, Florida
Condition Report
1)Leather and wood Bon Bon box. This piece is in fair condition. Hinges work fine as does clasp staining and loss of certain leather elements. Staining in interior. Refer to photos. Also separation of leather from frame in at least two areas. 2) Bone and wood box. Fair condition. One area of bone has separated from wood frame. Refer to photo. One wood division in interior is removable. Does not impact on condition of box. 3) Metal engraved ovoid canister. Plated piece. Base metal appears to be copper. See photo of bottom of canister. Lid fits tightly. No dents and only slight scratches. Heavily oxidized and tarnished. 4)Rectangular metal box. Repousse detailing on all sides with the exception of the base. Box is plated. Base metal appears to be copper. Hinges and small metal feet all intact. Finish is heavily oxidized. 5) & 6) Glass and silver box. No chipping to glass. Hinges intact. Stamp inside cover. Refer to photo. Tarnishing and oxidation on silver top. 7) Metal repousse box. Base metal appears to be copper or brass. Clasp and hinges all in working order. Surface either varnished or shellacked. 
 Refer to photos. 8)Repousse and wood rectangular box with cameo. Please refer to photos. Wear to wood surface. Hinges intact. Label on interior in Cyrillic possibly. Hard to discern, as is worn. Cameo in good condition.
