Brass, bound in brown leather, inscribed near the eyepiece "J.H. Steward, 406-66 Strand, & 55, Cornhill, London. Maker.", with a plaque on the leather "The Lord Bury Telescope, Sole Manufacturer, J.H. Steward, 406-66 Strand, & 54 Cornhill, No. 1046, LONDON".
Length open 24 3/4 inches; length closed 10 1/4 inches; diameter 2 1/2 inches.
