A Russet and Pale Celadon Jade 'Chilong' Rhyton Cup
17TH CENTURY
明末清初 褐斑青白玉螭龍紋觥
the even colored pale celadon stone having russet patches, of deep hollowed U-shape, carved in relief around the exterior showing five clambering chilong with one larger dragon forming the upper part of the handle, the base carved in high relief with a monster mask, the horns of the monster forming the base and the lower part of the handle, raised on a fitted hardwood stand.

Condition Report
Overall fine and complete condition, no visible chips or restoration. A few natural fissures in the stone. The chilong figure which is forming the upper part of the handle has a shallow crack to its body. The wood stand in good condition.
