19TH CENTURY, SIGNED IKKO
銘「一虎」
the ebony example depicting a recumbent ox with all four tucked underneath its body, the boxwood example showing a recumbent aquatic bird with its head turned backwards, the body carved with detailed feathers and inlaid leaves; both signed Ikko. 
Length of larger 2 3/4 in., 6 cm.

Condition Report
Each in stable condition with some surface scratching. The bird marked '393' in ink to the underside. The ox with heavier soiling in nicked and natural recesses.
