Condition Report
Attractive condition with very dusty patina; bronze with dull, slightly dirty patina. The lions on either side of the clock are loose from the base but intact and stable. One candelabrum's lion has had one of its legs repaired with a visible fracture. There is a small chip behind the dial bezel that is not visible unless viewed from above. There is a small chip on the ear of one lion flanking the clock. Two bobeches are missing. The candle cups have wax drips and areas of greenish patina. The dial is in good condition without chips or cracks; the movement appears to be original. The clock winds, runs and strikes when the hands are advanced, but it has not been reviewed by a horologist nor tested for duration or accuracy.

All lots are sold "AS IS," in the condition they are in at the time of the auction, and we and the seller make no representation or warranty and assume no liability of any kind as to a lot's condition. Condition reports prepared by Hindman staff are provided as a convenience and may be requested from the Department prior to bidding.

The absence of a posted condition report on the Hindman website or in our catalogues should not be interpreted as commentary on an item's condition. Prospective buyers are responsible for inspecting a lot or sending their agent or conservator to inspect the lot on their behalf, and for ensuring that they have requested, received and understood any condition report provided by Hindman.
