Five Women's and Children's Corsets with Related Documentation, and One Corset Cover, 1880s-1900

This lot includes five corsets, one corset cover, and five advertisements.

THE FIRST
White cotton twill corset with shoulder straps, front post and loop closures, stocking clasps, and center back lace up closure. Laces are included, though likely not original.
Unlabeled, though the stocking clasps are stamped: Ferris / Pat. Aug. 27, 89

Condition Report
Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition is good with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There is some overall light soiling throughout the corset though, most noticeably under the arms, each interior side seam and along the neckline. There are some darker spots on the inside side right and side left.
Corrosion/Tarnish: There is slight corrosion in the
Repairs/Alterations: There is a small repair on the right center back interior along the lace up closure. 

THE SECOND
The overall condition is very good with the following:
Structural Issues: The stocking clasps are slightly stretched but still have elasticity.
Split/Separated Seams: The front left casing on the side has a few skipped stitches near the waist.
Soiling/Spots: There is some light yellowing along the front closure and center back lace up near the bottom. the bottom of the front left stocking clasps has a dark spot on the elastic.

THE THIRD
Both advertisements have been cut and mounted to paper. Both have yellowed due to age but still intact.

THE FOURTH
The overall condition is fair with the following:
Structural Issues: See Repairs/Alterations
Soiling/Spots: The corset has moderate soiling throughout due to wear.
Corrosion/Tarnish: There is some corrosion that occurred along the back stays which has bled through the cotton casings. 
Repairs/Alterations: The center back stays have some conservation work visible, a net overlay to reinforce the back casing. There are also some crude stitches in the interior waist where it appears there were splits. Several patches have been used to cover various holes throughout the lining.

THE FIFTH
The advertisement has been cut and mounted to paper with some yellowing due to age and one jagged edge from previous binding.

THE SIXTH
The overall condition is very good with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There are some orange colored spots along the center back lace up closures, along the boning casings in the interior and exterior, and the left shoulder. 

THE SEVENTH
The overall condition is very good structurally with the following:
Structural Issues: The elasticized stocking straps have pulled and no longer have stretch.
Fading/Color Change: The corset has yellowed overall due to age.
Soiling/Spots: There are some faint orange spots throughout the interior bodice along the back  waist and hips.

THE EIGHTH
The overall condition is good structurally with the following:
Losses: Some of the stitched binding along the neckline and armholes has come undone with small losses. 
Fading/Color Change: The interior sueded lining has darkened considerably, either from wear, soiling, or age is indeterminant. 
Soiling/Spots: There is moderate soiling under each arm noticeable in the satin shell and orange spots on the right armhole.

THE NINTH
The advertisement has a central fold line that has two large holes at either end of the advert. The paper is brittle, and has yellowed with age.

THE TENTH
The advertisement has split down its center fold and a large piece on one side has split from the top. The paper is very brittle and has some other small losses along the edges.

THE ELEVENTH
The advertisement has a central fold line with two large holes at either end of the advert and darkening. The paper is brittle, and has faded with age.
