Three 19th and Early 20th Century Corsets, 1860-1900

This lot includes three corsets.

THE FIRST
Ivory silk woven with a floral pattern and trimmed in off-white lace and satin ribbon with bow, front post and loop closure, and back lace up. Laces are included, though likely not original.

Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition is very good with the following:
Structural Issues: There is a small split in one of the back left interior boning casings.
Fading/Color Change: There is some overall darkening due to age, but not structural.

THE SECOND
The overall condition is good structurally with the following:
Fading/Color Change: The corset has darkened consistent with normal wear and age.
Soiling/Spots: There is moderate soiling on both the interior and exterior, mostly along the front closure and lower back.
Corrosion/Tarnish: The spots on the front are likely due to rusting of the metal stays attached to the closure.

THE THIRD
The overall condition is very good structurally with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There are dark brown spots on the interior between boning casings.
Corrosion/Tarnish: The spots are likely due to the metal boning.
