Three Men's 19th Century Waistcoats/Vests, 1840-50

This lot includes three men's waistcoats. 

THE FIRST
Tan silk satin vest with multi-hued floral embroidery along the shawl collar, front panels and hemline, padded front, and front button closures.

White cotton dobby weave shawl collar vest with front button closures. 
Unlabeled, though there is a handwritten label on the inside center back neck: "Real Vest 1840".

THE FIRST
The overall condition is good structurally with the following:
Structural Issues: There are several areas where the satin weave has lost its original structure, mostly along seams or fold lines. There are several splits in the back lining along the neckline and throughout the lining. The front hem leather facings are starting to degrade and become stiff.

THE SECOND
The overall condition is very good structurally with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There is some minor soiling along the neckline and a few spots primarily on the front right and back lining. 

THE THIRD
The overall condition is good structurally with the following:
Structural Issues: The satin has some threadbare areas around the neckline.
Fading/Color Change: The lining and embroidery has some overall darkening due to age and slight fading on the satin.
Soiling/Spots: There are some spots and soiling throughout the lining.

Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use.
