This lot includes four men's waistcoats. 

THE FIRST
Brown striped silk velvet vest with shawl collar, padded front, and button closures.

White silk satin brocade vest detailed with small flowers in copper thread, shawl collar, padded front, and button closures.

Condition Report
Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition is good structurally with the following:
Structural Issues: The front hem leather facing is losing its finish and is becoming dried. 
Losses: The velvet is worn in areas along the neckline and some pile is lost.
Fading/Color Change: There is some discoloration under each arm.
Soiling/Spots: There is heavy soiling along the back molding
Corrosion/Tarnish: Back waist cinch buckle has some rust.
Repairs/Alterations: One front button has been replaced.

THE SECOND
The overall condition is good with the following:
Soiling/Spots: There is some minor soiling throughout the lining.
Repairs/Alterations: There has been a repair made under the right arm.

THE THIRD
The overall condition is good with the following:
Structural Issues: There are two unfinished slits in the back at cinch level.
Losses: There are several buttons missing on each side.
Soiling/Spots: There are large orange spots on the right side of the wool shell. There is minor soiling under each arm.

THE FOURTH
The overall condition is good with the following:
Losses: All of the front buttons are missing. The back cinches appear to have been cut off at some point.
Fading/Color Change: The back panels appear to have darkened due to age. 
Soiling/Spots: The back lining has soiling throughout.
