Two Quilted Silk Petticoats, 1840-50s

This lot includes two quilted petticoats. The main image of this lot shows the second petticoat, inside out. 

THE FIRST
Brown horizontal ombre striped silk quilted petticoat with brown cotton lining and drawstring waist ties.

THE SECOND
Iridescent quilted pink silk petticoat lined in mauve and brown printed plaid silk, hemmed with pink taffeta and closed with drawstring waist ties.

THE FIRST
The overall condition is good with the following:
Structural Issues: There are some abraded areas on the hemline.
Soiling/Spots: There are two large dark spots, one on each side of the rear skirt. The lining has several light colored spots throughout. 
Repairs/Alterations: There are some darned holes on the back left side seam.

THE SECOND
The overall condition is good with the following:
Structural Issues: There are some abraded areas throughout the lining near the hemline.
Fading/Color Change: The lining has several bands of fading or the color has lightened. 
Soiling/Spots: There are several spots throughout, most noticeably at the center front just under the waistband and the center back pink taffeta band. 
Repairs/Alterations: There is a noticeable tear repair on the left side seam. 

Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use.
