A Collection of Nine English and Continental Boxes
18th Century and Later
comprising a continental silver and tortoise-shell mounted snuff box, an enamel on copper bonbonnière in the form of love birds, a George III silver vinaigrette marked for Thomas Purver & Edward Furnace, London, 1808, an Edwardian silver and hardstone-mounted snuff box marked for Aide & Lovekin Ltd., Birmingham, 1908, four continental silver snuff boxes and a treen example.

Condition Report
Tortoise shell mounted example with chipping and loses to edge of one tortoise shell plaque. Enamel bird-form snuff box not attached to lid. Treen example lacking a carved central medallion on one side. Larger agate mounted example with a crack in one side of case. Additional images available upon request.
