Lot Description
Four Piece Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Peasant Ensemble, 1970s

This ensemble includes four pieces.

Black cotton crinkle crepe A-line blouse with jewel neckline and gathered sleeves, black cotton twill weave corselet with thin shoulder straps and front lace up with laces, black cotton canvas waist cinch with leather backing and red ricrac trim, and yoked gathered skirt trimmed in red ricrac and red and green webbed ribbon.

Condition Report
Condition:

The overall condition is very good structurally though the blouse has some light white markings on the front left hemline, the corselet has a grommet loose on the bottom right front, the waist cinch has some very minor scratches on the front hook closures and some minor lightening, the skirt has some light soiling on the front right side near the side seam and faint white markings on the back right with some overall lightening of the black fabric. The skirt waistband has a very small wear spot on the center back along the folded edge.
