Two Small Gold and Black Lacquer Inro
LATE 19TH CENTURY/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the larger four-case example decorated with gold and mother-of-pearl inlays depicting various horses in an outdoor scene, the interior lacquered black, the smaller example decorated in gold hiramaki-e and hirame with five folding fans, the interior of nashiji, with boxwood peach-form netsuke carved with dragon motif, signed Kozan; both inro unsigned.
Length of larger 2 1/4 in., 5.5 cm.
