A Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Parquetry Lady's Writing Table

20th Century

Height 32 x width 45 x depth 26 inches.

Condition Report

Sturdy, fine condition; dates to late 20th century. Country of origin is not known; probably a reproduction made in Egypt or China. Overall an attractive desk, but the sculpting of the bronze shows the level of definition that one would expect from a late 20th century reproduction. One corner of the top with a small area of overpainting, probably to conceal minor water damage, near the bronze edge. No other significant damage or repairs.
