Lot Description
An Empire Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Mahogany and Mirrored Marble-Top Pier Table
Late 19th Century
Height 34 x width 48 x depth 15 inches.
Condition Report
Mirror plate is probably a 20th Century replacement, overall sturdy with minor wear from age and use. All mounts are present. The figures with some residue on the wood around their feet, probably from cleaning. Scattered nicks, small water spots and discolorations on the veneer, heavier around the base, as is normal. The base made of two U-shaped elements stacked on top of one another; possibly raised from its original height, but uncertain. The marble top intact without cracks but with several small repaired chips on the front edge.
