A Pair of Famille Rose and Underglaze Blue Porcelain Wall Vases
QIANLONG PERIOD (1735-1796)
清乾隆 青花粉彩纏枝蓮紋壁瓶一對
each of straight bisected begonia form, molded with flanking mythical beast mask knobs, and pierced at the reverse for mounting conforming reticulated hardwood stand with rectangular backing. The vases each painted in warm enamels with flowering peony over underglaze blue leafing vines between petal and ruyi bands. Detailed with gilt pigment to the mouth rim and at painted mock handles.

Each in overall good stable and attractive stable condition, with some rubbing to surface enamels consistent with age. One example with a hairline to the front, firing imperfections to the interior underside. The stands in good condition. Additional images available upon request.
