Condition Report

Sturdy and usable, professionally conserved condition. The gray paint appears to be original and has been rubbed / worn off to varying degrees along the sides and crest rails, from handling, but the wear is such that it adds to the character of the chairs and is even throughout. Very slightly looseness in some joints as is typical for age. Craquelure, scuffs, small chips and small paint losses throughout, again, in a way that is even and adds to the character of the chairs. Small areas of touched-up paint are probable. The upholstery is clean and intact but slightly dusty; upholstery is a high-quality velvet, possibly mohair. The seats are a coil/spring and web underneath. No noticeable odor.
