A Louis XV Gilt Bronze Mounted Parquetry Marble-Top Commode

Circa 1750

Height 33 x width 50 1/2 x depth 27 inches.
Body 160 lbs, Marble 45 lbs.

Condition Report

Sturdy, attractive, professionally conserved condition without significant issues. Even color with original finish but later, professional polish. Small veneer losses at the front of the feet. An age crack forming in the veneer of the proper right side (very faint). The bronze handles are good quality but might be replacements; the drawer insides are papered over, so it is hard to look at the interior hardware sites where the handles are attached. Marble top intact and attractive; normal wear for age and some roughness at the back, but no cracks or repairs.
