A Louis XV Style Gilt Metal Mounted Marquetry Marble-Top Commode

Mid-20th Century

Height 35 1/4 x width 46 1/2 x depth 21 1/2 inches.

Condition Report

Appears in overall stable, usable condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. Paint droplets on right drawer-pull of top drawer. Areas of lifting, peeling and loses to veneer on front and sides of case. Areas of heavier loss to veneer at top of top drawer and along base of bottom drawer. Area of detached metal trim along proper left front of case. Oxidation to metal elements of sabots on front feet. Repaired break to back left corner of marble top.
