A Venetian Painted and Parcel Gilt Grotto Rocking Chair

LATE 19TH CENTURY

in the form of an opened clam shell with dolphin-form arms and legs.

Height 34 x width 20 x depth 38 inches.

Condition Report

The chair is in very good condition, attractive and stable. There is minor rubbing to silvered paint in areas and slight nicks to edges at top of chair back. The chair was used decoratively and shows very little signs of use. There is a repaired stress crack to the lower seat running the full length.
