A Regence Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Marquetry Walnut Rouge Marble Top Commode en Tombeau
19TH CENTURY
Height 35 1/4 x width 50 x depth 21 1/2 inches.
Condition Report
The commode is in fair condition. The marble top has numerous scratches but no chips or breaks. The mounts are loose and one of the sabots is off but in one of the drawers.
The veneer is lifting on the lower sections of the sides, and there are small areas of veneer loss immediately under the marble top. There are nicks and scratches to the front legs and the viewers left foot has a significant chunk of the foot missing.
