A Large Wedgwood Jasperware Tulip Vase and Cover

Circa 1870

Height overall 28 1/2 inches.

Condition Report

Bearing a museum accession number to the underside of the lid and edge of the base. Vase and cover appear to be unmarked, although the base is heavily restored to the extent that an impressed mark may have been obscured. The maker was noted as being Wedgwood by the museum. Both serpentine handles have been broken into numerous pieces and reconstructed. Square base is broken in two and heavily repaired. Scattered edge chips to the circular foot and square base. Scattered hairline cracks, areas of discoloration and pitting to the relief decoration. Vase is generally dirty and dusty. Numerous detailed images of various condition issues available upon request.
