Condition Report
In overall very fine and stable condition.  Retaining an even refinished surface throughout. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.  The hardware, while seemingly of the period, has been replaced showing old holes where previous fittings were place on the interior of the drawers.  The color shows some variation likely due to the grain of the wood, but also exposure to the elements.  Areas of tarnish to the bronze mounts. Age cracks visible in areas, but none cause any concern for the structural integrity of the chest.  Few small patches to the veneer visible on the sides of the case.  The marble top appears to be in fine condition showing small fret losses along the lower edge consistent with the handling of it over several years. Scratches to the top surface of the marble consistent with age and use.  Various fissures visible throughout.
