Lot Description
[CIVIL WAR]. BUFFORD, John H. (1810-1870), lithographer. Yankee Volunteers Marching Into Dixie. 

Lithograph with hand-coloring, 1862, sheet size 15 x 11 1/4 in., toned, scattered spotting, adhesive residue on verso, previously framed. 

Published by C.F. Morse and G.A. Morse. Image depicts soldiers dressed as "Uncle Sam" being led by an officer brandishing a sword. A port city, possibly Boston, is visible in the background. Additional caption reads "Yankee Doodle Keep it Up, Yankee Doodle Dandy."
