Two Chinese Black Overlay Glass Vases
LATE 18TH-19TH CENTURY
清晚期 天藍地套紅料梅花圖鳳尾瓶及涅白地套藍料纏枝蓮紋賞瓶
the first a light blue gu-form example, decorated with an overlay showing a flowering prunus branch between simple bands at the mouth rim and base, the second of baluster form with compressed sides. The deep overlay showing lotus stems beneath a band of petal lappets at the shoulder, the mouth encircled by plantain leaves.
