[WASHINGTON, George (1732-1799)]. A group of 5 Civil War-period CDVs, comprising:
CDV captioned in brown ink below image, “Elm tree at Cambridge under which Washington received his command.” Philadelphia, PA: McAllister & Bro., [ca 1860s]. -- Engraving of Washington’s tomb, captioned in brown ink on verso. -- Engraving of George Washington, captioned in print on mount recto. -- Engraving of Martha Washington, captioned in print on mount recto. -- Engraving of Washington and family, captioned in print on mount recto. -- Together, 5 images, each 2 1/4 x 3 5/8 in. or smaller, on cardstock mounts. Condition issues include toning, spotting, and soiling to varying degrees, and clipped corners (elm tree image, tomb engraving, and family engraving).
