Lot Description
2nd Division, II Corps badge. Attributed to H.G. Clagston, [ca 1863]. 

1 1/4 in. simulated bullion stamped brass badge initially coated with silver wash then painted white indicating 2nd Division (retains original attachment wires on verso). Considered to be an early 1863 style badge manufactured by Clagston of Philadelphia, PA, soon after the adoption of corps badges by the Army of the Potomac.
