Condition Report

The painting has been heavily revarnished. Paper tissue was applied to areas of cracking to panel by conservator, there are remnants of this tissue still visible. Where panel is cracking, paint has flaked. The painting has been revarnished but is in need of a seal to prevent further flaking of paint. Under UV light, there is evidence of inpainting around panel cracks. There are chips and gilt loss to frame, mostly on base. The frame has a painted gold finish, not a proper gilded finish.
