Sixth plate full standing ruby ambrotype portrait of a Union private wearing a single breasted infantry overcoat with cape and gold-highlighted buttons, housed in a Rare patriotic union case, Profile of Washington [Berg 1-72]. (Image very clear, with minor scratches around mat opening and discoloration to preserver; unsealed; case with nicking and chipping.)

[With:] Sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a seated subject wearing a possible shell jacket under a civilian coat, housed in a pressed paper case. (Image with some spotting and discoloration to mat and preserver; unsealed; case reinforced at hinge, with wear to raised surfaces, edges, and corners.)
