A Collection of French Pont-Aux-Choux Faïence Articles
18th Century
comprising 36 plates, a two-handled dish with a cover and 2 tureens with covers; 39 items total.

Condition Report
First tureen: height 8 x width over handles 11 1/2 x depth 7 1/4 inches.
Second tureen: height 7 3/4 x width over handle 11 x depth 7 inches.
Each in fair, stable condition overall. Each with scattered instances of debris and discoloration from dirt and grime. One tureen more noticeably stained to the inside of the bowl. Both tureens with chips to the foliate decoration around the lid handles and instances of roughness from chips and loss to glaze around the edges. The dish with significant chipping and loss to the edge of the foot and rim. the plates intact with varying amounts of wear in the form of surface marks and scratches, and areas of abrasion or chipping and loss to glaze; two examples with small red marks on the surface. Three plates have Christie's labels noting the date of the sale; other items unmarked. The dish with an unrelated appraiser's label. See attached images for further reference to condition.
